12hp ohv tec motor?

Hey i am looking for a motor as of now. I was really looking for a 15.5 ohv but i cant find one around here to save my life. Anyways i was looking through the junkyard and i seen a couple of old square body craftsmen with a 12 hp tec. ohv motor and i was wondering if there were any upgrades for this motor? Or if these had good internals in them for a couple psi of boost? Just wanted to know before i thought about buying one?

Stock they are junk.  They have a very small oil pump in them and at high rpm's they like to lock up.  If that lives you will throw the rod through the side of the block knocking off the starter.

As far as aftermarket parts, I'm sure there are some.  But the tech. guys are a quiet bunch!

was but i found a motor, i just bought a 22hp b&s twin so thanks for the replies but i have found a motor
