whats the best way to bolt this thing down i'm getting a plate from george but my trans has a out put on both sides ,guess the ? is should i put the sproket on the left or right and/or does it matter. oh yeah how far is the best  from the rear axle ie..short chain /long chain to mount it .i'm trying a mock up and want to make sure everything is placed right

Where it mounts long chain or short depends on the chassis and room it provides, naturally shorter is better but you must leave romm for changing sprocket sizes for different ratio's. And the plates we make puts the sprockets on the right side of chassis.

thank you george that helps a ton .i just rembered that you cant slide the rear to adjust the chain  hence the slack adjuster .you don't know how much head scratchin you saved me /but i'm sure you do

why is it better to have your sprocket on the right side ?

nope it dont matter but on some 700s there is only one output shaft and that is on the right soo ya theres ur answer
