Found my 700 Finally
« on: May 28, 2006, 09:09:34 pm »
Hi Guys I finally found my 700  it's a 708B  off an old Craftsman rear engine.  Are there any known issues with this 700.  Just curious.

Hey I also got an old mid engine 8 hp  Ruug it's ancient.  3sd  H pattern shift a little smaller than the 700.  What is this tranny and should I bother to save it?

The brackets on the shifter are kinda misleading on that one, the one I took out of my Dynamark was cleaner and yes it does very much resemble the Peerless 700 case from the top. But where the shifter sticks up it's a little taller, it does have the numbers stamped on top of the tranny as was pointed out in the post below the picture there, and the layout is a little different on on the input and output shaft so the bottom and end views are a different.
