hello all i have just bought a 700-708b trans and the shifter is rusted not bad rust but enough to prevent it from moving .my ? is 1 is there a bushing in the case  and 2 whats the safest way to free it up

all feedback will be employed

There is a seal in the top half but not really a bushing...

There is also a ball, spring and socket bolt on the detent that may be too tight (front of case)

If loosening the detent ball and a little squirt of PB Blast/WD40 doesn't free it up, you may have internal problems...

Pull the bolts around the case, split it (put the bolt back in the shaft and "tap" it out of case) and check out the internals, shift keys etc...

will do just wanted to know. i didn't want to trash any parts .i have ordered all the parts george listed so i will go over every thing .this will be my first legal racer i've built so i can race you guys joining uslma as we speak
