Engine build
« on: February 21, 2008, 06:26:39 pm »
I have a 15.5hp Briggs OHV that Im looking to buildup a bit. My plans were to remove the governor, pretty much just add a throttle adjustment. Very unrestrictive exhaust, and porting the head. How can I get "roller" rockers for it? Should I port the exhaust also?
what are some other small things I can do?
Also, When adding the throttle adjustment, what is a good indication of max RPM so I dont blow the engine?

Ok, What about the RPM's? When I put on a throttle control, Whats a good indication of to high RPM's?
also, Rightr now it has stripped flywheel gears and stripped starter gears. I took a look at them and there plastic?!?!?!?! Is there any place online that has performance parts dedicated to vertical shaft engines?
