Model 19 and ARC flywheel/coil alignment question.
« on: April 17, 2006, 01:52:40 pm »
Hey guys,

I have a customer who is having some issues with the proper alignment of the coil and our billet flywheel.  In his case, it appears that the coil posts are shorter than the norm.

This is the first time I have heard of anything like this on any of the 19's.  I spoke to some others, and they have not seen problems either.

Have any of you seen anything like this?  He said the coil is so far away from the proper offset that it is over the ring gear rather than over the flywheel rim.

Thanks a bunch,
Tom Cole

Good Morning Tom

I have built several engines, all with the Billet Flywheel and all Briggs engines. Never had a problem with the coil height.

Hope this helps

Henry

If they are too short could they not just be shimmed up. Or is the real problem that the flywheel is not on all the way.
