Where do you guys get your sprockets for the splined shaft on a 700? I'd like to run 41 chain for better strength and all I can find are sprockets without the splined shafts.

there are two ways u can go about it
1. u can go direct and order one right from techumseh
7 tooth sprocket 786077
8 tooth sprocket 786047
10 tooth sprocket 786076
12 tooth sprocket 786095
15 tooth sprocket 786111
oo and btw there all # 40-41 chain
or #2 u can go out and buy a hub from acme mower sportsand weld or bolt ur sprocket to that
http://www.acmemowersports.com/splined_steering_hub.html
what i did was i ordered a 10 tooth sprocket from techumseh it was on back order soo i had to wait about a week for it but when i got it it fit right on with no problem at all

Can I run option number 2 on a peerless 350 tranney too? it also has the splined output. Are the outputs on all these tranneys the same size or it the 700 in a size of its own?

You can if it has a 5/8" X 32 spline output shaft.
If it has a 9 spline output shaft, check this thread
