Intake length

Which is a better for performace, long intake ( plastic ) or short intake ( metal ) ? This is on a briggs single OHV motor.

all a personal preferance. I like the stock longer metal intake.

From what i understand, from when i tractor pulled, intake length can have a big effect on the power band and torque of the engine, so its all in finding where the intake length gives you the best power.
