Intec Valve Springs
« on: March 19, 2007, 10:40:55 am »
1) How Many RPM's are the stock Intec V-Twin valve springs good for?
2) Will a stock Vanguard twin carb bolt on to the Intec manifold?
3) Anybody got recommendations and prices on these items?

I believe the stock valve train is pretty durable on the Intek. Don would know for sure about that and the carb. But I do know he can make a KILLER fast Intek. He's got prices on his website for complete motors-www.g-team.us.

Stock valve springs will run 5200 to 6000 but if doing so will need to be changed regularly. E.C. Distributing sells dual valve spring and billet retainers for the intek 60.00. Yes the vanguard carb will fit the intek. New they are about 160.00 E.C. has them instock blueprinted built dominator series race ready. call for pricing. 615-446-6807. The intek carb can be work nicly and can be made adjustable. Check out pictures at http://btmra.smfforfree2.com/index.php/topic,17.0.html of some intek heads I did for someone using the dual springs.

Many varibles there. Depends on if using a cam or how hard you run it. I would say at least twice a season or 3 times a season if using stock springs.
