cranks
« on: March 17, 2007, 09:37:11 pm »
The arc rod fits the small journal cranks, and all the spare cranks I got  have the large journal crank. Now is their a different rod out there or is it safe to have the large cranks turned down? Thanks

If you change your crank at all it WILL BREAK , not sure when but it will come apart in time .

By small journal cranks, are you referring to the Magneto end main bearing size? I have both large and small size and both use the same size rod. I didn't buy ARC, mine came from Slinger race cars and I have used the same rod in both blocks.

I am referring to the part of the crank the rod rotates on, there are 2 sizes, small fits the arc rod & the large can use the newer avs rod. Was just looking for a billet rod that would fit the larger crank.
