Do you just bore the block to acheive the 31 CI, or do you stroke it too?

To the best of my knowledge the cylinder is bored then a new sleeve is fitted in.
The machine shop can make you one and fit it for you in the block.

Talk to don at G team racing he can always fix you up.

Stroke is the same on either a 28 or 31 so to achieve a 31 flat head simply bore and resleeve to fit the 31 cube piston. I can fix you up on that if need be. 95.00 plus shipping.

Can one stroke a 28 and bore it to a 31?

sure you can it requires a special length rod and different journal size. Also I have not seen many stroked motors last very long. Due to the high stress levels racing puts on the cranks when you off set grind the crank when stroking it weakens it to the point it simply will break. And when that happens there simply isn't very much left to salvage.

ok it was just a thought.  I'm just wanting to get all I can out of my motor.  I don't want to be underpowered.  I think I got a frame in the works that will handle really well if I can get the power.
