Briggs 44 big valves?
« on: June 17, 2016, 11:06:57 am »
So I've searched this site from top to bottom and I'm still trying to find where I can get my hands on a set of big valves for my 44 Intek. Maybe I just don't know what to get on the EC site as I haven't really seen a book about how to build a hot-rod Intek

Anyone have anything they'd like to share for a part number of the big intake and exhaust valves and seats? Do the EC valves work with the stock-aftermarket style retainers/locks?

I understand they came from a Saturn, but I don't have much more info.

Thanks,

~Joe

A lot of guys just use valves from a single cylinder Briggs ohv any good machine shop should be able to match up seats for it.

Thank you sir. I did not know that and I haven't read that here. I know a couple people make custom size valves, but I have no idea where to start as far as size goes and that's where I'm stuck. I'd like to have the valves in hand when I take them to my local machine shop. I know they have seats to install and cut, but I know they wouldn't have the valves.

Any ideas?

If I was you I would use 49ci intake valve(Briggs pt#793556),as it is about .110 larger than stock 44 intake valve and existing valve seat can be opened up to accommodate the larger valve.
