49 intek rods
« on: October 29, 2015, 11:14:53 pm »
Assembling this 49 intek went to connect the rod to piston found out the arc rods will not work with the stock pistons due to the clearance issues around the rod pin end & piston pin grove they are angles & the billet rods are not. my debate about running these rods is the motor would be basically P&P heads cut, Cam, springs, flywheel. has anyone had luck with the 49 rods they look thicker & feel about the same weight as the billet rods. I dont plan on turning it more than 7000rpms.

Open the piston up to make the rods fit,it doesn't take much.Thats how everyone else does it that runs stock pistons and ARC rods
