V-twin Tach Question
« on: September 29, 2015, 08:39:17 pm »
I have been using a TinyTach the last few years on my mower but would like something a little nicer but I don't need or want EGT or cylinder head temp. If I combine this http://www.amazon.com/Baron-Custom-Accessories-Tachometer-BA-7315-50/dp/B001KO17TS tach adapter with this http://www.amazon.com/Longacre-44402-Digital-Tachometer/dp/B005JVEBZU/ref=pd_rhf_dp_p_img_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0H34GEVE4DGK6RKND4KN tach set for a four cylinder engine would it work? I have an Intek V-twin.

For the $200 your going spend on that setup I'm guessing you could buy a nice used tach that is a lot better than that one.

I have no idea if that will work.

I better dig through my stuff. I may have a digatron I can sell you for less than that.

Is the 6080 tach just work out of box on the 1 and 2 cylinder engines or is there an addational adapted needed?

I have a RDT-31K LT single display tach with the tach lead I would let go pretty cheap. It would need to be sent in to Digatron though, as it started to act goofy. Dont know what shipping would be over the border though.
