Stock.....16<18....easy. Modified no way to tell without knowing each build. Will say the oppy is heavier...

Factory horse power ratings mean nothing. An OHV engine will generally have more potential, and a V configuration will generally be better than an opposed. The 16hp Vanny is short on displacement, though. Only 30 cid.

With 23 hp heads with a good port job and nice valves and about 14 to 1 compression you could probably get 2 hp per cubic inch.You can't do that with an opposed,not even if your Rooster
