is a 18 hp twin flathead a good engine to build.  if not, what is?    :confused:

OK. There is a problem for ya. Because of your age, you technically can't race the CP class, so I would recommend J/P, I think GP/K or something similar until you gain some seat time. Once you have two years experience, You can move to A/P, but still no Oppy's there.

My suggestion to you would then be to build the best chassis you can, even purchase a used one so you can see what works for you and what doesn't, start in the aforementioned classes, and save your money.

Hey look, no worries! The dumb questions are the ones not asked!

BTW, your IMOW can take you straight thru to AP after a couple years. That's the great thing about the prepared chassis, you can simply swap an engine to swap classes.
