Oil Pressure port
« on: June 10, 2015, 10:16:46 pm »
I have a 33ci AVS and I was gonna put an oil pressure gauge on it but it has no port to install a fitting.  Will it read accurate pressure if I tap into the housing?  I don't think it will but wanted to get a 2nd opinion.  I took a few pics, the one pic I'm pointing to a good spot to drill and tap but it is in the housing and not the passage to the lower journal.  I may be able to tap into that but it will be tricky

There where your finger is pointing to the flat. Drill thru with a 1/8 bit. Then go back with an R drill bit and drill only deep enough to tap for the 1/8 npt fitting to screw in and your golden.
