Need help with a kohler
« on: May 30, 2015, 12:48:08 am »
Hey yall I'm new to mower racing and I have an old craftsmen with a 25 hp kohler. I've started tearing it down to beef up the chassis a bit. I'm looking for tips on how to make it fast and front end ideas. Thanks!

First welcome!!!

Start reading.   There are several threads on lowering and building a mower here.

Before you do anything you need to read the rules for where your going to race.  And pick a class.

As for your engine.   Take it off and save it for later.  Most places won't let a rookie run a V-twin their first year.    And if they do I'd advise against it.  Start off with a single cylinder.
