Peerless 700 or RAGB
« on: May 08, 2015, 05:26:37 pm »
Upgrading from a foote transaxle and looking for some info from guys that have done it. I only race it a couple times a year at the local fair grounds which means there are rules but not really enforced. So which is a better route the peerless 700 or a RAGB? Only benefit I can see is being able to put it in neutral to run the motor and not having to hold the clutch in. Any ideas or suggestions? Plans are to upgrade to a 1-1/4" live axle in the rear already upgraded to a 20hp Briggs Opposed up front.

Not one person has an opinion? Well guess I will have to figure it out on my own.

If your rules allow, guess I'd go with the ragb.  If you can handle the rest of the build. Little less stuff once you get the details worked out.
