The lifters in the model 19 with a alt 212 cam bottoms out under rpm, the bores need a good chamfering to eliminaTE THIS. EC springs and stock vlaves have no issues with clearance or bind. This is a .389ish lift cam at the lobe. Clearance the lifter bores and new gear with no play on key iot should be fine.

So George  just a slight play in the key and the gear will cause the gear to break
Because i do have a slight play in the key and and the gear but the play is in between the key and the crank
And also i did chamfer the intake valve but not the exhaust valve but will do that now
