I just built the original 4 speed standard for a customer with the same year and with the 427 in it. The transmissions are Crome dipped. Rockets from what I heard.

The first few came with a Borg-Warner T-10, then they went to the toploader. Some cars were autos.
Which trans did you do?

Top loader. All the parts are still eazy to find ( in USA ) supplier ,as the trans was destroyed. Lol . Syncros , input shaft, counter shaft and 3/4 fork was toast. I think he said he payed 70,000 for it and still needed a lot of work.

Ed wants a Thunderbolt??? Eddie, its got a blue oval on it. Why don't you just buy my green truck instead? Its got performance similar to the T-bolt.

Bert, you know I don't dislike all Fords. Just the ones that suck. Like your green truck. But even that has its purpose.

Nope. I have a very extensive list of things of major suckage in the automotive world.
It includes, but not limited to, Mustang II, Cadillac Allante, cimmaron and Catera, 350 diesel, mini-vans, twin traction beam, mopar (excluding hemi), Chevette, most every car built between 1975 and 80 except Ford F-series, Mopar, the guy who decided to put a diesel V-8 in a van body,v-6 trucks, early lock up torque converters, quadrajets, egr valves, secondary air injection, thermoquads and mopar.

I don't see a Thunderbolt on that list... :D

I had a 1962 Dodge 880 once. I don't like them, but then, they're all dead now. My green truck has a V-6, and I still like it. Maybe I could put a Q-Jet on it so that Ed would hate it even more.

It just occurred to me that a lot of people on this site, maybe 30 years old or younger, have no idea what a Q-Jet is. That may be a good thing.

I had a 82 camaro with a 305 and a electronic Q jet.

Car is long gone but I still have the carb if anyone is interested.  Have the distributer that goes with the carb as well..…

I know what Qjet is. Use to modify them a lot in the early 80's      Is that a bad thing?
