12hp briggs wiring key to solenoid

I have a 90's dynamark 12/38 riding lawnmower and has new solenoid and battery I can jump it but woring was all messed up from someone else, I need help wiring the key to the solenoid

Racer?

You don't want a key. 

Use a teather and a starter button.

This isn't a racer maybe future, but it had a push button start and it just fried soon as I tried it I want the original key to work, can't figure out how to wire key to solenoid

Figured it out found which wire was the power to the key, tested then my key Stoped working put in another key from snowmobile it worked perfect, but this key wasent good cond, so tried a polaris snowmobile key which do not try this and it melted my wires...... :mad:time to rewire it again.. My fault

Well rewired it and got it to turn over but now has no spark did I fry the coil? It didn't melt the wire to the coil, any other possibilities?  :bash:
