POLITICS!!!! Thats all I will say about that. As for round tubing vs square for build material Mike hit the nail on the head. Its how we keep some ressemblance to a mower. Never seen a round tube factory chassis. And personally for the average guy I feel square tube is far easier to work with. But opinions are a dime a dozen. If you can get them voiced.   But in reality the growth of the class tells the real story..

The engine and chassis rules really take the "Experimental" out of FXT and FXS.  I would love to see more freedom in these classes to experiment

Exactly, round tubing makes people think of the mowers as go karts. Also keeps people from using kart frames.

Here in Quebec what you are describing Mike is exactly what we have our pro-modified class (US FXT) has regulations on chassis width, ride hight, offset and seat hight. As for engine it is max 38ci but otherwise unlimited, lots of fun we can do a lot of stuff still being legal since rules are wide open (to an extent) no one acuses anyone of cheating since its almost impossible lol

we run a class fxt limited its all the chassis rules for fxt except turf tire & a stock motor with a billet flywheel it gives guys time to build there motor while running in a fxt class to feel out there chassis
