Front Brake Help!!!
« on: January 19, 2015, 09:39:05 pm »
I put front brakes on my BP and I need help.  I was wondering what you guys recommend.  I am only running 1 brake cylinder and then it goes into a T off each one.  I know a couple people running 2 cylinders and I don't really trust the 1 cylinder because to me I feel they go way to far before they start to work.. but my father seems to disagree.  Please help me!! I really need it! Thanks! -Cody

I run a single master cylinder on mine running front brakes tee'd off.  Never any problems other than getting them bled out lol

Do you think I should just keep bleeding them all the time? This is the first front brake set up that I've done lol

The plastic tubing will still give you a soft pedal because it will swell and contract.  Use braided or hard line and you won't have a lot of trouble.  It alway took a long time on the first bleed, then I would check it once a month or so

Ditch the crappy plastic line.   Go all braided.  The plastic line flexes.  And will eventually break.

I have run the 2 masters and just 1.  I prefer to run just 1 good one.  Easier to bleed and set up you petal.  Run a portioning valve if needed.

Cast MPC master cyl. cast has larger piston 1 master cyl. - 2 braided lines will have plenty of pedal feel

Im going to be running dual calipers on the rear of my mower and im using them of the front braking system on a road motorcycle as its a standard setup with one master line into a T with 2 seperate lines to 2 calipers. The only thing il change is the master from a hand brake to the rear brake master of the same bike.
The only question im having is will using a rear motorcycle brake master push less oil than the front handlebar type handbrake master setup??
cheers snyds
