Any racing clubs left in Washington state?
« on: January 11, 2015, 08:48:35 pm »
Not sure if this is the right spot or not. Anyone Got a website or facebook page to any affiliated or local chapters of uslmra ,Arma or old school club? Looking to hit up some racing events down from B.C Canada. There's a few of us looking for a few road trips and meeting some new racers. Thanks for any help.

There are a few races left down here in Washington.
The Morton Loggers Jubilee is still a big race.  50+ entries. $$Prizes
Kalama had a race again this summer. 20~30 mowers were there.
Amboy Territorial Days race is still also a $$ prizes race..

not sure about the eastern part of the state.

Most of these races are NW style dog leg shaped tracks,( except Kalama is a oval.

Yes, Morton is still a 8hp  "stock appearing" race, but the rules are loosening up, slide carbs~ n~ alcohol. Lol. ..That track is to small for anything bigger anyways.  They have the room in the arena to make it bigger but they don't.   It's tight and rough. ......handle bar country. :woo:

Kalama is the best big mower track down here. ...Nice, smooth oval. ..but a handle bar guy still seems  to win

Amboy runs both classes but is a little bigger (and better, imo) version of track like Morton's

Check out Sportsman Grass Car Racing & Western Mower World Series on Facebook. We have 2 day races at Wamic, Or on Memorial Day, July 4,  & Labor Day. Usually have 50-60 mowers & it also pays some tow money.
