Are you looking for a mower to purchase, or one to look at to see how to build one?

A free mower is a good one to build, A MTD tunnel chassis is the most common mower that is built into a racer. There are a lot of post and pictures on here for building a MTD tunnel chassis. I am not aware of any built mowers for sale in wi right now, but there might be. I am from Spencer, WI. Welcome to mower racing.

I am looking for both because I cant decide weather I want to build my own  or if I just want to buy one and call it good.
i don't know i want to build one so i know how but then i think it would be easier if the races are coming up soon and i would travel to spencer wi if you would be able to help me out and give me some pointers or know of a mower for sale

Hi, Brandon  If you'r looking for a good mower. In the for sale section The Crouch's Have a Few race proven mowchine's that have a track record that not many mower's could not even come close in comparison. I know these personly.Very user freindly, They have win list a mile long. Which includs, The all american, soma runoff,s Bole,s farm's in va. The V-Twin shootout in Mi. And too many other's to list.  They'er good straight up guy's to deal with. So you won't be buying a pig in a sack!  Call them I'm sure they could work something out on shiping to you.   Ron.

Was just a general comment. Some try to do so because they dont follow the sale section rules.

I agree with Rocket Ron..if you are just starting racing and want to avoid the extreme learning curve and hit the track running....by all means buy a good running, well proven machine. And make no mistake...it is a VERY steep learning curve.  I also agree with his suggestion about who to contact for a proven machine. You absolutely can not go wrong there. Good luck to you in the sport..keep safety in the front of your mind.
