Over thinking things don't work well... (kids) keep it simple stupid... When u over think it it never works the way u want just way u want it to just take Ur time an go by trial an error...  Two on the steering u can run like a shaft out toward Ur mower then chain to a mother shaft then to Ur turning fork
Or run a shaft down instead of the chain witch is cheaper an won't break... U shouldn't break the chain but it's more Likely to than the steel rod

got it! thanks guys! ran 2 shafts parallel to each other connected with a tie rod. pic is in mid build of steering setup.
