18 hp flathead twin hunting
« on: October 28, 2014, 05:51:41 pm »
I think I'm using the right term. The governor surges at any thing below wide full open and I'm not sure where to look? This is in a JD 240 Garden Tractor and has a 38" mower deck. It's just mows, no racing here. What should I do tear the carburetor off and clean ports/holes. This old girl goes thru coils when hot in the summer (I mean just quits) if that's any help. It's cool now and I was expecting it to run good, but "that ain't happenen". bjr

See if it works better by partially choking it- if so you may need
to clean the carb out.
