17hp opposed twin
« on: October 15, 2014, 02:47:34 pm »
im building a mower and using a 17hp opposed twin. i have to rewire everything since the mower chassis i got had no wires at all. i put a new coil on the motor and the only way i can get it to run is by puttin fuel straight into the carb. im building a tank brace to see if i cant make the tank sit higher for better gravity flow but im not sure why it runs with only me putting fuel straight in the carb.  any help would be appreciated

Don't forget about the fuel lines and fuel filter.

ok i cleaned out the carb and have my gas tanks sitting higher so itll get more gravity flow. my next thing is im hoping that the tank sitting higher will push more gas thru the lines to the carb. is there a bigger sparkplug i can put in use that will throw a bigger spark and burn hotter than the J19LM?
