No.   They were " kind of" a class a few years ago.  No mowers showed up.

With the GP class there is no need for them now.

And we don't allow any ungoverned engines without billet flywheels.

If you want to build a budget mower build a GP. They are fast and cheap.

Yes.   BP requires a "stock appearing " carb.

There may be a GPT.  GP with a twin in the works.

Twins are expensive.   I'm guessing the governed twin class won't be an exception.

If you want to race cheap go GP.  You can buy a NEW 33 Briggs for less than the performance parts to build a CP.

The days of racing a mower for under $500 are over..................

Do you think there would be more racers if all the mowers were under the 500 or is it bringing more racer intrest with all the levels of racing ?

No.  We went down that road a few years ago.  I think 4 super stock mowers showed up at nationals.   There was a bunch of guys on here saying they wanted that kind of class, none were built.

We currently have too many classes now.  What is there 11 or 12 classes in the USLMRA rule book?

We offer a GP single and a GP-T Twin in Mason Dixon. This class is now my second biggest class (or just as big as GP) with extremely fast laps times. Yes, despite what others say, The twin is faster,( I run both) you can click up and extra gear and it will pull you out of the turns faster. We allow up to 44 cubic inch. You can get these engines very cheap. Florida and Michigan are running these too with much success.  If you go BP, your investment will be in the thousands...unless you buy a used BP from a reputable racer.

Note, USLRMA and ARMA does not recognize GP-T

IF YOU WANT TO GO TWIN, THEN GO SUPER MOD/FXT. IF YOU WANT CHEAP, THEN GO MOD-X-R/GP. :twocents:

I think we should have about 50-60 different classes, that way, nobody feels excluded and that they can still fit in somewhere...

No, dont get rid of any. Add more. That way by todays society standards of mediocrity everyone has a place to fit in and be a winner..
