And change the starter while you have the flywheel off.  Just went through having to replace mine because it was dragging.

Good call, Dennis. 

Another thing is to find the "Magnum" starter. It's basically the same look, but the starter is physically longer, and has more torque.  Good to have if you ever start upgrading the ol' oppy.  You will most likely have to trim the lower air duct for clearance.

I, buy my starters from Rareelectric ,they are the long 4and3/8" starter $39.67,they work great.
