Well i soaked the crank in some Draino to dissolve any aluminum that was stuck to it (turns out there wasnt much). Then i spun it really slowly in the lathe and polished everything out starting with valve lapping compound and worked my way down to polishing compound. It turned out pretty good.
WHAT ENGINE IS IT AND IF IT'S A BRIGG'S WHATS THE PIN DIA. ? (or did I miss that)
This is the crank i use in my Briggs 10.5 OHV motor in my A/P. Journal Dia. is the 1.25.
After taking a closer look at everything, it looks like my oil slinger wasnt making good engagement with the cam so it wasnt oiling everything like it should. Just another reason to disassemble the engine every few races to inspect the parts... lesson learned
