6" or 8"
« on: July 31, 2014, 07:51:04 PM »
which would be preferred for the rear tires on a mod 6" or 8"? rules are pretty loose but it has to be a mower tire. the mower it's going on is a tube frame with kart axle and a mild oppy. I plan on trading out the oppy for a twin next season.

I really like the 6inch- 8.5 wide. Running 13-6.5-6 turf masters and are holding up well on grass and loose dirt we race on.

why 8? wider footprint or some other reason? I was thinking with a 6 you could use the same tires and wheels on all 4 corners, plus it would lower the cg.
