Tecumseh Starter Brushes & Rebuild
« on: June 25, 2014, 09:55:54 am »
I am a recent convert from a B&S engine.  I done some horse trading for a 17.5 OHV Tecumseh with the understanding I need to work on the starter.  The starter drags and I would like to rebuild.  my question is am I wasting my time and money putting a brush card in it or should I just go ahead and purchase a new starter.

I dont think you can get parts for them.
I have used these starters with good luck.

I found these but just didn't know if the starter is worth trying to rebuild.

Ed, I took your advice.  DB had my starter for $51.95 plus free shipping.  That's hard to beat for a brand new starter.  Thanks.
