Slipping belt
« on: May 19, 2014, 09:43:46 pm »
Okay guys I'm running a 7in motor pulley and a 4in trans pulley, my belt is slipping bad coming out of the corners, if I jump to a 5 in trans pulley, will this fix the slipping issue? By the way, it's a brand new belt

It should help quite a bit by giving more surface of the belt in contact with the pulley.  You will probably have to change length of belt as well, because the extra inch of diameter of the pulley will gain about 3" of belt length provided you currently have correct tension on the belt.

Sitting on the mower, is clutch on the right hand side? Not the pedal but the actual clutch.

Yes, I set it up so the pull side is straight from the tranny
