Hold out for a vanguard or just get a intek?
« on: May 18, 2014, 01:57:45 pm »
I've got a chance to get a 20hp intek for 125. Since I'm new to the mower world is that a decent price for a complete running engine? Or should I just hold out for a vanguard?

That's a good price for it. The Inteks are junk so just send it to me and I'll dispose of it properly  :D

All in all they can be built into strong reliable engines but most prefer the Vanguards.

That's not a bad price but you could probably find one even cheaper, or maybe even for free. And that motor is prob a 40ci. I would get the 44ci at least. I prefer the vanguards, but both can be built to run very well.
