Just a brief correction here... Mason-Dixon is a local chapter under USLMRA; we follow the USLMRA builds, rules and safety information.  That being said - we welcome any racer from any group to join us as long as they pass the safety requirements.  We are all about being safe, having a good time and racing!   roll

Mason Dixon Lawn Mower Racing Association is an Independent organization for 2014.
As was clarified, we are a USLMRA chapter.

While every mower that passes saftey tech will be allowed to race, if a racer wishes to receive points towards the Mason-Dixon Championship standings, the mower will have pass proper Mason-Dixon rules per the Mason-Dixon Chief Tech Inspector.

Extremely Successful event for April 26th evening Race - Round # 1
Track was outstanding as with the weather.
Our first FX- Lite(Mini Pro) made it's debut appearance.
Yet another GP-T arrived, as with three new members. We warmly welcome these racers guys to our family.
Shocker of the day....John "The Grubdigger" Herring had a clean sweep in the heat and the feature......ON A AP-MINI!.... of all things. He drove it like he stole it!........Seeing big Grub on the little AP...well, something about a crab and a football came to mind but we'll leave that alone. Well done Grub, you rocked!

This will be a large, natural terrain grass track......and yes, it will miss the death valley gultch jump that they made us drive thru in the past.

These times are prompt - we have slim time slots to complete our show.

12:00 Open Practice Racing Mowers( Front Field)
 1pm Heat Races (Front Field)
1pm Checkers, Bean Bag Toss & Hoops(Small Pavilion)

2:30pm Announcement of Car & Bike Show Winners Main Stage)
 3pm Racing Mower Feature Races.
 3:30pm Bike & Rollerskate Parade
 Live Music 11-4(Noll Stage)

Visit the Steppingstone Farm Museum as all shops are open with our volunteer artisans sharing the historic trades (blacksmithing, woodworking, weaving, and more!) and tour the historic house, visit the museum store, and more! Bring a picnic lunch to round out your nice weekend visit

Got it Joe & replied.

The Death Valley Gulch was a nasty little bump that they had us run thru for the past few years.
It really hurt and knocked the daylights out of you. After enough complaining, Last year they let me design the track so we would go around it.
Track will be all grass and will be a Road Course, one left 180deg tight turn to slow you down, and one right hand sweeper, The rest are left turns. Shaped like a big Pistol.....or at least that's what I am..."shooting" for.(bad pun) The track last year was fast a furious...not for the weak hearted.

We will start on top of a hill, turn 1 will be a fast 90deg down hill left sweeper ...turn 2 is a 180deg hard tight left heading back up hill, turn 3 is a fast right 90deg, turn 3 is a fast 90deg left, turn 4 is a tighter 90 left , then back up the hill to the finish start.

....again, this might change.

Sounds like a fun setup.  Wishing my engine hadn't acted up today when I was getting things ready. Its still halfway disassmbled and not in running shape at the moment. Not sure if I'll be making the drive to watch or not.
After getting everything else prepped I'm kinda bummed. But hey there will be other races.

It might be a good idea to show up and meet everyone.
Seeing the mowers in person answers a million questions.
