Personally I'm pretty hard on phones, my blackberry I had before you iPhone 4S was always toast. In 2 years through the warranty literally had about 10 of them. I even tore up some of the Nextel flip phones
None the less, my iPhone 4S was about 14 months old before the phone speaker got to the point of being too weak to hear anything out of. Other than that, no issues. It has been in an otterbox from day 1. It's always hangin one hip for everything...mechanic work, fabrication, on the ground. Dropped from the top of the ladder. And it comes back for more. Cool part about the iPhone is they are really all one in The same. When a new system update is released, you download it the same as you would for an ipod. And you have the latest and greatest. Only real difference is between the 4s & older phones to the iPhone 5 is camera quality and the 5 takes a totally different charging plug than all the other apple phones and iPods.
