First off, I'd like to give a huge "Thank You" for all the many thoughts and prayers! Also, thanks to Tony for keeping my heymow.com friends up to date on my situation. As far as my condition, I shoved my femur ball through my pelvic socket requiring 5.5 hours of surgery, 12 screws, & 3 steel plates to get me all patched up. I'm home now and have been able to move around the house using crutches or a walker. Absolutely no weight on my right leg for 12 weeks. All in all, I'm pretty comfortable. I have an awesome wife and family helping take care of me. As far as my job, fortunately I'm a high-school shop teacher and have over 120 sick days built up. Planning to try to go back to work ASAP. I can do a lot of what I teach out of a wheel chair. I would like to tell heymow how awesome the ARLMRA members are. Before I made it home from my hospital stay, my fellow member had already built me a wheel chair ramp and mowed and weed-eated my yard. I can't thank them enough for all they've done. Last, as far as my racing career, I'm not out yet. Just gonna have to take a break to get good and healed first. Thanks again everyone!
