Our thoughts tonight go out to the many who have been affected by the recent wild weather. And, our prayers remain with those who are potentially in harms way overnight. This past many months have been ones that can try even those with the steadiest base of faith. To that end, we have designated this race season as one to dedicate ourselves to the Power of Positive.
This year ARMA has decided to dedicate the season to finding ways to actively support a variety of charities and local organizations. Each spot on the national point series tour will feature special fundraising and contribution opportunities for a different charity. Items will be available for sale and donations will be taken to support a particular organization. ARMA believes that when our motorsports community of racers, families and fans unite we can bring positive change to our world.
For the first stop on the Power of Positive Tour ARMA racers will visit Redneck Raceway located at 2 Oakhill Road in Shapleigh, Maine on May 25th and 26th. The 3rd Annual Northeast Nationals, affectionately dubbed Hugs and Horsepower, will raise funds for Therapy Dogs International. TDI is the oldest therapy dog registry in the United States and most recently assisted with the tragedies in Newtown, CT and Boston, MA. We wish to offer our assistance to them in recognition of the great support they have provided in times of great sorrow and crisis.
So, with that said- let's get out there, have some fun, make some friends and show the world what great changes small deeds can bring about!!
