How shiny do you want them?

Mirrior finish?   Will need to sand several times first.

I like Busch aluminum cleaner and polish. All one product. The bottle is about $16 and I get it at the pilot truck stop. Never had great luck with chrome polishes on natural aluminum. Guess they meant only chrome? Lol. And never had good luck with mothers products in general.

I used mothers aliminum polish on a 28ci briggs flathead head. Back and forth between 800 + grit sandpaper and polish it almost looked like a mirror. I would would it on anything.

After you polish the rims do you put a coat of wax over it as an extra protection?
