Powder coating will not work close to the head. You will need to ceramic coat it.  OR you can powder coat it and wrap it about the first 6 to 8 inches from the head.

Running temp is 1100-1225 depending on the motor.

Mwsc motor 25hp block. So if I where to wrap the headers about a foot would the powder coat hold up after that on the rest of the pipe it's a total of around 3.5' long ?

Possibly. Or ya could go to your hardware store and buy high temp spray paint that's good for 1400 degrees. You could try it though.
Btw, your temp goal will be 1125-1175.

There is a type of powder coat out there that will take exhaust heat. We had a set of headers powder coated 4 years ago for our pulling truck and they still look great. At the end of a 30 second pass down the track the headers are cherry red coming out of the head. I have also had good luck with it on a mower exhaust once. I do find it easier and cheaper to just buy the VHT brand paint and apply several coats. I believe it is rated to 2100 degrees and it's spray can!

Cool thanks for the in put everyone the setup I have is running my exhaust in with my nurfs that's why I was wanting to powder coat them but after all the help and research I think the high temp powder coat will work for my application I'm going to end up wrapping the headers right out of the heads and by the time the heat feta to my nerfs it should be cool enough that it won't effect the powder coat once I get it all done ill post some pics but intill then no peeking lol

Thanks guys

sounds cool Nick. just a word of caution though, if the exhaust is going to be a solid connection into the nerf bars, the body flex will work the exhaust pipe and fatigue it. it would be better to run the pipe through the nerf bars, and allow the pipe to move independently of the nerf bars.

Thanks Jim and I already thought of that I have flex tubing in between the headers and the nerfs I didn't want to mess up the heads or motor
