I had one on a racing kart they bend easy if you hit anything don't know how they would hold up on a mower
But if you can get a titanium axle they are strong and lite I have not used one know but I hear alot about them on the karting forum hope this helps

I ran an aluminum one all season and plan to do so again next season.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

WELL IM NOT SURE YET. I GUESS I COULD TRY IT AND IF IT BENDS I COULD PUT BACK THE STEEL AXLE. HOW MANY ARE RUNING WITHOUT PROBLEMS? IT LOOKS LIKE 50/50. I DONT KNOW.

John
Instead of wasting the money on that aluminum axle. You should just send it to me instead. Cause as hard as Malissa runs that mower I guaranteed she's going to bend it.

Funny I posted the same question over a year ago.
