Zach Burwell told me that a healthy dose of Ex-lax helps, because after all, who wants to drive slow with a load in their drawers.

That is like asking us to teach you everything we know. Then you go out and learn something new and your smarter then all of us.
Keep reading go to some races and learn as much as you can. Running up front isn't going to happen from sitting behind that keyboard.

I can tell ya the fastest way to the front is with some  :twocents: How fast you want to go depends on how deep your pockets are. The key to running at the front though will come from a good handling chassis. No matter how much motor you have if you cant make it stick then it's not doing any good.

I will say I have never prepped a tire for a mower race, frankly I do not believe the surface of most mower tracks is good enough to tell a difference.  Might need to start prepping and see how I do.  Go look at the for sale section, complete mowers, under checking interest-two mowers for sale.  This would make a great start.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!
