Intek pistons/rings:
« on: December 29, 2006, 09:38:53 pm »
This pertains to a 40 CI Briggs V-twin Intek:

What are the part numbers for stock pistons, and rings?

Also, I am having head work, and carb. work done, along with replacing the cam, from Don at g-team. Would there be  better pistons available to replace the stock ones if I should decide to do so? What would they be. Thanks

Thank you, George. The bore is stock. Do you recommend a source from which to purchase these parts?

Don should have those on hand for you, he stocks quite a few for the Inteks, and he's a Briggs dealer also. If he doesn't have them, it only takes him a day or two to get them.

Hello,
Well just to let you know I have a minute or two right now. My Mother in Law passed away and this whole week has been rough.
So to clear my head here I am. I know all the combo's of cool parts for Briggs Intek. PLUS I am a Briggs Dealer and handle many many Intek parts.
Now Both Inteks share just about everything. ELS is the nices motor there is since it has Teflon coated pistons from Factory.
40h777 and 44h777 are the best Briggs Inteks to get parts.
40H777 uses 698429 piston and it comes with rings. Replacement rings are 698430. 429 piston is about $35 and the replacement rings are $18 or so. Remember piston comes with rings but it does not have the wrist pin. 690229 is the pin number. $4 or so.
Keep an eye on my site. Since I will start selling parts and kits I use once Rocky gets back and gets the work done.

Well I got to go for now. I will be back to answer mower questions at a later date.
