Has anyone ever installed on of these on a Honda Clone? Any information would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like this ignition system would be a huge performance advantage. With the multiple programmable timing curves and being able to keep the spark at the optimal advance relative to a given RPM and two rev limiters this little box sounds like the holy grail for small single cylinder engines.

Wow! Pretty pricey, I once put electronic Ign from a Chrysler on my Briggs, I saw no difference, but it diod not have the programable curves and such as the MSD does. Give it a shot and let us know how it works.

I was going to get one for my gx390 and my engine builder said not to waste the money. A stock Honda one is just as good

The programmable curve will help if you have your motor on a dyno and can put a set timing at all the different rpms. Would be effective on a really loose track and a nice clay track. In between you probably wouldn't notice it.

I did the same in 02 with the Billet flywheel I built on a 28 briggs.. Worked great and still can use it on that motor today.. The hole Ignition system out of the Junk Yard $20.

WOW is right, Don did one quite awhile back  [not a msd though] search "MSD" and it should come up. His setup you should be able to hook up a adjustable MSD box. HAPPY EXPERIMENTING!!  Let us know!
