Ok I heard and saw a set of heads on a car that were chicken footed and wonder if it would work good on a flat head. I have cut in the pattern into my heads but haven't tested yet

I've tried this and didn't notice any advantage really. I asked the guys down the road who owned the worlds fastest flathead car (unsure if this is still the case) and they said don't waste your time. They said head ventilation and getting the compression ratio bang on was the key and that they just had endless knocking issues (needed to be v-slotted and the corners seriously radiused) but once solved, noticed no gains on the track.
