The single ohv Tecumseh cranks can handle plenty of timing and rpm with some pretty aggressive camshafts. As a whole they are a very well build piece but you will find the stock rockers to be the weak point IF your cam is, for lack of better words, "aggressive enough" to need significant spring pressures. Good luck with roller rockers, they are a one of piece as of now and that pricey. George had something in the works but I'm not sure if anything ever became of it other than just testing them out.

Small block Chevrolet stuff is quite large...I'm sure with enough time and money it's possible but to make them fit under a stock valve cover, I don't think is possible

You wont fit chevy parts in a indian valve cover  and why someone would want something that heavy on a briggs is betond me. to each his own though.

Techumseh rockers are 1:1 ratio. You won't get a 1.5 to 1.6 ratio rocker to fit without having some seriously wacked out valvetrain geometry that wont last.

for the life of me I cant understand why anyone would want to try to run an obsolete engine from a dead company...and if you do...and get it right..its ALMOST as good as a Briggs. Just my view on it.
