Found about 5 lbs of stainless screws and a whole lot of sand in a kohler motor on a miller welder. Our neighbor gave my dad the machine. Somebody tried to sabotage the motor. The screws broke the oil pump and the motor would shut off almost instantly. 11 bucks and a a lot of cleaning and now dad has a practically brand new miller trailblazer.

Had a Japanese car that would run OK going down hill but not up hill. It eventually would not run at all. I stripped the carb down and found an ant in the main jet.

I was working on a ford escort for a guy. He said it makes noise and that he put a new dipstick on the car because he lose the other one. When I took it apart the old dip stick in a few pieces and wrapped around the crank.

I pulled a Wisconsin VH4d V4 flathead pan off to check the oil pump and seen something coming out from around the rod cap. I removed the cap and found a .010 feeler gauge someone wrapped around the crank. The engine ran and made no noise it did get a full rebuild before it was sold. I also found a jd 3020 rear end filled with bananas we bought it at an auction the gears were shot must have used them to quite it down. What a stinky mess
