2012 Season Schedules
« on: November 22, 2011, 01:58:51 pm »
When will the major sanctioning bodies have their 2012 schedules ready?  As a few already know, my first child is due around late March and I need to be able to plan most of my season as soon as possible.

P.S. With the addition of a child, I also plan a few changes in the classes I plan to run in 2012.  BIG CHANGES in 2012!!!
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

Changes for the better I hope?  Are you planning on not racing certain classes?

Alex, ALL the changes in 2012 will be for the better!!!  I may not be able to race quite as much, but I do plan to race several classes.  The rules have made me more interested in lawnmower racing this year and I plan to take full advantage of them.  I REALLY want the National Championship that I was soooooo close to last year, but I want it in several classes, maybe several different racing organizations!  This is why I need to get on the stick with making plans!

Chris I can tell you from experiance too many classes and the work seems to be endless thus the stress takes over and the fun fades, and thats from a 12 year veteran that LOVES mower racing. BUT I do understand and you ARE younger... LOL

I am younger and we forgot to mention a Glutton for Punishment!!!  Remember, I teach 30, 16 year olds 5 times a day everyday I'm at school!  The time in the shop between races keeps me from going postal!  George, I want to try to run 3 classes next year at the races I am able to make.  This means I may not race 3 weeks out of the month like I did this year, but when I do I wanna do it big!!!!

I really hope you keep rusty racing next year.  Plan on carrying over your famous signature of "rusty" with the other mowers you will be racing?  It would be totally cool if you did that.

Thanks Jim, it was a blast for sure!  Alex, Rusty isn't going anywhere.  I have been thinking about keeping the theme going, but proper Patina is hard to replicate!
